Owner, Head of School
Mrs. Way has been working with children for over 25 years, the past 20 in Montessori. She has a BS from Ithaca College and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education/ Montessori focus from Endicott College. She holds a RI Teaching Certificate for Pre-K - 3rd grade and is a Certified Montessori teacher for both Toddler and Primary through the North East Montessori Institute. She successfully completed Goldman Sachs' 10kSB program in 2024.
Maria Montessori was nominated for the Noble Peace Prize the three consecutive years before her death. She believed there could be world peace through her method with children. I love that and believe the prepared environment and purposeful materials bring out the unique innateness of each child, fostering a love of learning and bringing strengths to the world.
Mrs. Way has a grown son, two grown daughters, and another daughter who is a sophomore in college. Montessori of Greenwich Bay is Lynne’s life’s work but she spends time with family too. She loves to visit new places, exercise and be outside - especially at the ocean or mountains. She is in the process of completing NH's 48 4,000 footers and is writing a children’s book.
